plastics

Here are some before and afters of plastic surgery.  try as I might, I can't seem to shake my opinion about it.  maybe its because I've still got a few years to think about it.  but one of these little ladies had her first adjustment at fifteen!  yowza!

meg ryan

 Dyan Cannon

 Lisa Rinna

okay, okay, okay, here are some extremes.  it just breaks my heart.  really.

Amanda Lepore

Hunger Games anyone?

Daryl Hannah

here are a couple celebrities that claim to have never received any plastic surgery.

Brad Pitt

Helen Mirren

I just think natural aging is so beautiful.  not to say I haven't seen beautiful face lifts, but I've rarely seen it stop with just one.  next thing you know you turn into this.

Jocelyn Wildenstein

okay okay, all extremes aside, what do you think about plastic surgery?  yes or no?  I'm not going to go as far as to say you shouldn't adjust your look (ie makeup), but it seems like a slippery slope.

am I alone on this one?

The Meg Ryan transformation is so sad. She was so incredibly beautiful before, why in the world did she think she needed to change anything?

  4. i agree, meg ryan's is sad. i feel like I lose a piece of them when they alter their face to that extreme.
Helen and Brad look amazing and it's actually them! Yes there are wrinkles and maybe they've done botox but I feel like plastic surgery rarely rarely every makes them look "better". it just makes them look weird and different. it's not like they look any younger.

  5. That last picture was for Halloween right. I laughed out loud at work!

It think it has it's pro's and definitely CON's. I have a really close friend who's uncle is a plastic surgeon and I was very vocal about plastic surgeury until she told me she had some done. After she explained it to me I thought, this was a good thing for her, but she is also reasonable and wouldn't turn into a Halloween scary picture.

  6. This is my second attempt at commenting. I tried when you first posted this entry and it ate my comment. :(

I agree I agree I agree. So sad. Especially Meg Ryan, who was so beautiful and adorable.

I truly feel that just about all cosmetic surgery comes from an internal feeling of insecurity. I know some people claim they "did it for themselves," but does that mean you'd get it done if you were on a deserted island? I doubt it...you get plastic surgery to alter the way others see you.

Natural aging is so beautiful. I hope I have the poise and confidence to age with dignity...and earn every laugh line on my face!
